Shooting in 4K or 8K is fantastic. The disappointment, however, comes with the output. By the time a masterpiece hits your living room, the blacks are flatter, the color are muted, and the detail is degraded. Enter Dolby Vision, an enhanced HDR experience that delivers incredible clarity, detail, contrast, and color. This project is a filmmaker’s dream come true. There are certain subjects that just never look right on TV – fire, deep blacks, and bright lights, for example. Dolby Vision puts filmmakers in the driver’s seat, and this project was no exception. We composed two videos where we got to break all the rules of cinematography and deliver rich, detailed scenes.
